American born designer/painter Deborah Sears created Isis Ceramics in 1988 after moving to Oxford, England with her husband which she had met studying painting in Europe. Isis Ceramics was inspired by years of collecting 17th century English Delftware.
Deborah set up her first studio in an old Victorian building the Old Toffee Factory, designing a collection of dinnerware, decorative pieces and lighting. Each tin glaze pattern is hand-painted onto a variety of shapes and patterned pieces reflecting 17th and 18th century England.
