Mary Rose lives deep in the Forest of Dean, in Gloucestershire, England. In her studio, she experiments with the ever more exquisite color combinations, patterns and designs for her unique range of ceramics.

 

Her work carries two strong elements- her curvaceous and traditional shapes combined with the rich and imaginative surface decoration. 

 

Mary Rose creates all her work. Her love of decoration means that many shapes will then have little flowers, leaves or jewels fashioned by hand and fixed on to the pieces while still wet.

 

Mary Rose started out by selling her pottery from a barrow in Bristol every weekend. She now sends about 80% of her pieces to foreign countries including the United States, Japan and Germany.
